Terms of Service

These Terms apply to all users of Nerion. If you are a verified creator or platform administrator, Section 2 also applies to you.

1. About Nerion

Nerion is an independent Minecraft platform for discovering and joining experiences, managing multiplayer lobbies, and connecting with players and creators. Nerion is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Studios.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Nerion. By using the platform, you confirm you meet this requirement. Users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction must have parental or guardian consent.

Nerion supports both Microsoft-authenticated Minecraft accounts and offline play in order to make the platform accessible to a wider audience. We strongly encourage all users to purchase a legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition and comply with Mojang's End User License Agreement (EULA). Nerion does not verify Minecraft license ownership — each user is solely responsible for their compliance with Mojang's and Microsoft's applicable terms.

3. Accounts

Nerion accounts are created and authenticated through third-party OAuth providers (Google, Discord, Modrinth). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your linked provider accounts.

You agree not to share your account, impersonate other users, or create accounts on behalf of third parties without authorization. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

When you send a message marked as "anonymous" through platform features, the message appears anonymous to other users. Your account identity is stored server-side and is accessible to platform administrators.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Nerion to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Distribute malware, cheats, or unauthorized modifications that harm other players or servers.
• Attempt unauthorized access to other users' accounts, instances, or server infrastructure.
• Conduct denial-of-service attacks against game servers, relay nodes, or the Nerion platform.
• Bypass platform restrictions, rate limits, or access controls.
• Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable law.

5. Creator Content

Nerion allows verified creators to host Minecraft instances and communities. Creators are solely responsible for the content, rules, and moderation of their communities. Nerion does not endorse or take responsibility for third-party creator content.

By submitting content (descriptions, images, announcements) to the platform, you grant Nerion a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the platform.

6. Third-Party Services

Nerion integrates with Google, Discord, and Modrinth. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or practices of these third parties.

7. Crystals — Virtual Currency

Nerion offers an in-platform virtual currency called Crystals. Crystals can be used to:

• Purchase cosmetics, emotes, avatar parts, and content packs in the Nerion store.
• Create private rooms in instances where this feature is enabled.

Crystals have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or any real-world currency. Crystals do not expire as long as your account remains active. You may transfer Crystals to another Nerion account using the platform's Crystal transfer feature. Transfers are final and cannot be reversed once confirmed.

All Crystal purchases are final and non-refundable once credited to your account, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you are located in a jurisdiction that provides a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content, you expressly waive that right at the moment Crystals are credited to your account and become available for use.

Crystals may be purchased through MercadoPago or Tebex depending on your region. Each payment processor is subject to their own terms and privacy policy. Nerion does not store payment card data.

Nerion reserves the right to adjust a user's Crystal balance at administrator discretion (including grants, deductions, or corrections) for platform operations or policy enforcement. All adjustments are recorded in your transaction history. We reserve the right to modify Crystal pricing and available items at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Nerion name, logo, and platform code are property of Nerion and may not be reproduced, modified, or distributed without explicit written permission. Minecraft and related content remain the intellectual property of Mojang Studios / Microsoft.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Nerion is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, data integrity, or compatibility with all versions of Minecraft.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nerion is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, game progress, or service interruptions.

Certain instance configurations may enable strict mode, under which the Nerion application automatically removes unauthorized mod files from within the Nerion-managed instance directory — the folder Nerion creates to run that specific instance. This affects only files inside that directory; no files outside of it, including personal files or other applications, are ever touched. The purpose is to prevent custom modifications that could give players an unfair advantage on that instance. By joining a strict-mode instance, you consent to this behavior.

Within Nerion-managed game servers, you may be assigned a platform-specific UUID distinct from your standard Mojang UUID. This ensures consistent identity management across Nerion instances but may affect the behavior of third-party plugins that rely on Mojang-issued UUIDs.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Nerion at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

11. Creator Status

Creator status is granted by Nerion following a review of your application submitted through the Nerion web interface. The application, review process, grounds for rejection, and reapplication rules are governed by the Creator Agreement, which you must accept at the time of application.

Creator status may be revoked at any time for violations of these Terms or the Creator Agreement, or if the creator's content is harmful to the platform or its users. Nerion may take action against a specific instance independently of a creator's overall status. Creators receive access to the Dashboard, admin credentials, and monetization features. Once accepted, creators may submit an unlimited number of instances, each subject to Nerion's manual approval process before becoming available to players.

12. Instance Management Responsibilities

As a creator, you are solely responsible for the instances you publish, including:

• Ensuring that mods, modpacks, and configurations are free of malware, exploits, and unauthorized content.
• Complying with the licenses of all mods or assets included in your instances.
• Maintaining the stability and availability of your published instances.
• Ensuring your instances comply with the Minecraft EULA and Mojang's commercial usage guidelines, regardless of whether players use authenticated or offline accounts.

13. Community Moderation

You are responsible for moderating the communities associated with your instances, including enforcing rules that prevent harassment, hate speech, and illegal content. Nerion may intervene if reported content violates platform-wide policies, but is not obligated to do so.

14. Monetization and Tebex Integration

Creators who monetize their instances through Tebex must configure the Nerion creator code in their Tebex store before enabling any paid offerings. This entitles Nerion to 5% of gross revenue from Tebex transactions on creator instances. Full terms are defined in the Creator Agreement.

Creators agree not to artificially inflate Crystal or Tebex transactions, incentivize purchases through misleading claims, offer paid advantages that violate Mojang's commercial guidelines, or use the monetization system in violation of applicable consumer protection law.

15. Admin Credentials

Admin keys grant elevated access to instance data and user management. You are solely responsible for the security of these credentials and must not share them with unauthorized parties. If a key is compromised, rotate it immediately from your dashboard settings. Nerion is not liable for unauthorized actions taken using credentials shared by you.

16. Prohibited Creator Activities

In addition to Section 4, as a creator you may not:

• Publish instances containing cheats, duplication exploits, or tools designed to harm other servers or players.
• Use the Dashboard to collect player data beyond what is necessary to operate your instance.
• Resell, sublicense, or transfer your admin credentials to third parties.
• Use your creator status to access or modify instances you do not own.

17. Termination of Creator Status

Nerion may terminate creator status and Dashboard access for violation of these Terms, distribution of malicious content, fraudulent monetization, or failure to moderate communities in a way that causes material harm. Earnings associated with fraudulent activity will be forfeited.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be reflected with an updated date and, for creators, notified via email or Dashboard notification at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of Nerion after changes constitutes acceptance.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation before pursuing formal legal action.
